ABOUT PCHTM

Message from the President

It is with great pride that I welcome members, friends and guests to the official page of the Philippine College of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine (PCHTM).

PCHTM brings together globally competent, ethical and socially-responsive Filipino hematologists who are committed to work together to care for people with hematologic disorders and promote the overall health and well-being of Filipinos.

I encourage you to regularly visit our page to get accurate, up-to-date and helpful information on the common hematologic disorders, as well as life-saving scientific breakthroughs on prevention and treatments of these diseases.

Our organization aims to inform, educate and campaign to increase knowledge and awareness of both medical practitioners and general public about the common hematologic disorders.

Digital platforms are critical to sustain engagement with colleagues in the medical fields, as well as friends, supporters and the general public as we continue to face the threats of Covid-19.

As medical professionals, we commit to promote safe and adequate blood supply, and ensure rational blood use.

I hope you will join us in strengthening our efforts to reduce cases of common and preventable hematologic diseases among Filipinos.

With increased knowledge and awareness of these diseases, I believe we can work together to promote measures that will reduce occurrences of environmentally associated hematologic disorders.

Through this platform, our organization also seeks to establish adequate number of accredited training institutions to run clinical, and laboratory hematology that adhere to excellent global standards.

To our esteemed members, let us continue to engage in advancing our professional knowledge and practice so we can provide excellent medical care to our patients.

I hope this page will strengthen partnerships with various government agencies, non-government organizations as well as private organizations in the realization of our common goals and vision to promote effective measures on prevention and treatment of hematologic disorders. May we all stay safe, healthy and full of optimism.
